The Arctic Lapland winter environment is unlike other relatively warm climates, there are natural charms and magic about the extreme north  winter snow landscape. This experience comes real when going out to the backcountry on a safari trip, depending on what the skill set is. It could be backcountry skiing for the experienced skiers, even skiing on the telemark ski tracks a few kilometres out of town to experience the peace and quiet of the snow covered forests and sweeping open tundra hills.
